Job Description

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Security department and Valet/Transportation department. Responsible for all aspects of personnel management. Formulate and enforce consistent application of departmental and company policies and procedures, including emergency response procedures. Ensure excellent customer service, maintain company vehicles.

Ensure the security, safety, and protection of guests, team members and property and company assets.
Provide management, direction and leadership to security department staff including but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, evaluating and discharging.
Supervise, perform and respond to routine or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
Assume supervisory control of department in the absence of Director of Security.
Responsible for ensuring that all department personnel consistently act in strict accordance with all applicable laws as well as established departmental and company policies and procedures.
Formulate and monitor enforcement of departmental policy and procedures and emergency response procedures.
Perform investigations related to incidents (criminal, medical, accidents, complaints, and missing property) and produce a comprehensive incident report on the subject if required. Assist Officers with their investigations when needed to ensure all documentation is acquired for the report. Coordinates and/or instructs Department personnel as to safety policies and procedures, to include reporting and follow-up of reported safety hazards.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent requires and/or preferred
Four (4) to six (6) years experience in Security and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of security and safety procedures and regulations.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physical aspects of the job may include walking and standing for extended periods of time and responding to emergency situations requiring the exertion of moderate to strenuous physical exertion. Must be able to walk stairs.
Good driving record.
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
