About the Company:

We are looking for a Network Technician with experience in Azure Cloud migration, configuration, Azure Cloud configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, assist with migrating from on-premise to cloud network, and and the development of security policies and procedures.

About the Role:

Leverage technology to monitor and manage the Department’s network continuously to identify and address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or security threats. Assist with configuration changes to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, and the development of security policies and procedures. Assist with the configuration and optimization of routers, switches, and access points to ensure efficient and reliable operations. Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for migration from On-premise to Cloud Network.

Responsibilities:

Leverage technology to monitor and manage the Department’s network continuously to identify and address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or security threats.
Assist with configuration changes to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, and the development of security policies and procedures.
Assist with the configuration and optimization of routers, switches, and access points to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for migration from On-premise to Cloud Network.

Qualifications:

Have a deep understanding of networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Be well-versed in implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
Have experience working in Azure or similar cloud platforms, including developing and implementing security plans and migration strategies.
Have experience provisioning resources in the Cloud (Virtual machines, databases, networking components, storage).
Have experience configuring access controls in Azure Active Directory or equivalent.
Possess industry certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, and Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), among others.
