We are currently looking for an experienced Mainframe Security Engineer/Administrator on a contract basis to join our team. As a Mainframe Security Administrator, you will be working with a team of security administrators responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our client’s mainframe systems.

The Primary focus for this role will be ACF2 and RACF (TLS) digital certificate certification management task, with TSS (Top Secret) to follow.

You will also work closely with the project team to implement security measures, monitor system activity, and respond to security incidents.

The role

Performing digital certificate task on mainframe ESMs (Security Measures)
ESM cleanup (users, groups, dataset rules, general resource rules)
ESM migration/conversion (especially ACF2/TSS to RACF)
Implement and maintain security protocols on mainframe systems.
Monitor system activity for any security breaches.
Respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
Assist in security audits and assessments.

The experience

Senior level experience in mainframe security administration
Strong knowledge and experience in mainframe security digital certificates maintenance/implementations, security protocols and best practices
Experienced in RACF and ACF2 administration is a must (Top Secret experienced would be an advantage)
CA Cleanup and/or zSecure experience would be a huge plus, as they’re looking to build robust reporting.
z/OS Systems experience
Experience with security tools and technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
