What You'll Do

Collaborate directly with Dalave's customers to design and implement robust cloud security solutions that address their needs and close any identified security and compliance gaps.
Partner closely with various teams – cloud operations, DevOps, incident response, platform, product, and application – to protect and manage Google Cloud environments.
Identify and resolve any instances of non-compliance with established security baselines and standards.
Address misconfigurations and vulnerabilities in cloud resources.
Analyze logs and ensure effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms are in place to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
Adhere to industry best practices for cloud architecture and security.
Develop secure infrastructure-as-code to deploy, manage, and remediate cloud resources.
Collaborate with developers to prevent the provisioning or configuration of insecure resources.
Implement and provide training on security best practices.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent job-related experience with 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Security Engineer (or similar title)

Required Qualifications and Experience

At least 4 years of experience in an IT role.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience with GCP AWS or Azure.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience managing an enterprise cloud environment.
3-4 years of experience using Terraform to read, write, and maintain cloud infrastructure.
An Associate-level cloud architect certification for GCP AWS or Azure.

Bonus Points

Experience with Google Cloud.
Security+ certification or similar.
GCP professional security or cloud architect specialty certifications.
Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and/or remediating cloud resources.
Experience using or maintaining an IaC CI/CD pipeline and policy enforcement.
Experience with Python scripting for automation.
Understanding of common cloud infrastructure.
