Intrepid Solutions is currently supporting the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) providing IT support services across multiple contract task orders. This is a NEW MULTI-YEAR contract. The program supports diverse needs providing employees many opportunities for career development, growth and advancement. To continue to excel this program, Intrepid is seeking a Network & Engineering SME to provide Long Haul Communication (LHC) for all NASIC and mission partner networks. A qualified Network and Engineering SME candidate will be able to meet the requirements and perform the duties outlined below

Provide Long Haul Communication (LHC) for all NASIC networks and mission partners including the 5 primary networks (NIPRNet, Cornerstone-Secret, StoneGhost, Cornerstone-Top Secret, and NORMALLAW) as well as all mission networks and data circuits.
Provide Patch and Test maintenance for all NASIC Patch and Test Facility circuits including physical encryption equipment and virtual networks to include software-defined networks.
Provide network security administration for all NASIC networks that have security appliances deployed including firewalls, VPNs, TACLANE’s, routers, ACL’s
Secure all network devices following DoD guidance, IC guidance, and DISA STIGs
Provide network design, maintenance, and support in coordination as requested by the Network Team Lead and/or Network Operations PTA
Provide network support during the core work hours and on-call support for non-core hours as approved by the COR
Work with the Network Team Lead and/or the Network Operations PTA to schedule all network changes
Provide Level II and III CFP escalation support
Install and maintain encryption equipment, network switching, routing, and network security equipment throughout the NASIC enterprise to include outlying buildings
Estimated work load 4,000 NASIC corporate customers, 180 DISN circuits, 70 Crypto Nets, 75 help desk tickets per month, 35 Authorized Service Interruptions, 65 missions world-wide.
Install and configure NSA Type-1 encryption device and other networking devices.
Install and update software as required.
Establish and manage rule sets.
Remove unused and/or abandoned network equipment.
Label all equipment and cabling installations in accordance with NASIC guidance.
Maintain architectural network diagrams and circuit databases and document all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidance.
Utilize Microsoft products to include Visio, SharePoint, and Access.
Use the DISA Storefront LHC ordering process.
Use DISA's Telecommunication Services Enterprise Acquisition Services (TSEAS) Inventory and Billing Information (TIBI) application.
Perform function as an Authorized Funding Official (AFO).
Maintain equipment supply inventory requirements and project future requirements.
Monitor critical NASIC IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers, storage, power, and cooling) and manage the monitoring systems software and hardware as requested by the government.
Provide monitoring support during the core work hours.
Perform COMSEC duties as requested.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS

This is a full-time position with 100% on-site expectations and standard operating hours Monday - Friday, unless otherwise indicated during the interview process.

TRAVEL Position does not require travel.

CLEARANCE

Active Top Secret / SCI ***TS/SCI is required upon application for initial consideration. This position is not open for any clearance upgrades, reactivation, or sponsorship.***

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

CERTIFICATION(S)

Possess active IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) Certification.
Possess active CCNA certification or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience supporting Long Haul Communication (LHC).
Hands-on experience providing network support to NIPRNet, Cornerstone-Secret, StoneGhost, Cornerstone-Top Secret, and NORMALLAW as well as various networks and data circuits.
Ability to provide network security administration for all NASIC networks that have security appliances deployed including firewalls, VPNs, TACLANE’s, routers, ACL’s.
Familiarization with Gem One and SMC encryption management software.
