We’re searching for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team and help take our client-focused services to new heights. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy.

This position will be very limited hours to start, and develop into a larger role as needed

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Monitoring/tracking Nascient/Nascient Networks' IT assets
Developing and enforcing security/privacy policy for IT assets
Occasional basic website editing (wordpress - text edits only, not design elements)
IT asset procurement Google Workspace management (user account management, GWS policy management, storage monitoring, etc.)

Education/ Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science preferred
3+ years experience in Systems Administration, IT Administration, IT Asset Management, or relevant IT experience with equivalent responsibilities
Experience and proficiency in Google applications including Google Suites
Experience working with ticketing and Collaboration Tools (Asana, Slack, Jira, or similar) preferred

Skills/ Abilities

An innovative problem solver who is proactive and loves to get things done
Strong interpersonal skills, good intuition, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks at once, and solid attention to detail
Experience doing IT asset management and/or other IT roles in a small/mid-level business environment
Must have a basic proficiency with networking, and understand concepts such as: VPN, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, IP Subnets, along with routing, switching, and firewalls
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot problems
Very good with machines and command line (can use terminal, etc.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting for long periods of time. While performing job duties the employee may be required to possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Starting at $50/hour.
