Job Opportunity: Commercial Security Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Access Control, Video Surveillance and Intrusion Detection Technician. Responsibilities

· Be willing to perform all aspects of an installation, Including Mounting Enclosures, dressing out cable and termination to boards, testing cameras and readers, adding IP addresses and programming software to meet customer’s expectations.

· Installation and programming of cameras, access control panels, electronic strikes, readers, request to exit and door contacts.

Familiar with Ethernet/IP Networks
Ability to install manufacturer software on Servers running Microsoft Server and Sequel
Problem solving and troubleshooting of any issue that may arise during an installation.
Professional interaction with clients, general contractors, electrical contractors, etc.
Prioritize responsibilities for most efficient use of time.

Proficiencies Required

Experience installing Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion systems in commercial environments.
Proficient use of test equipment such as impedance, Butt set, and multimeters
Pride in workmanship, including cable management, labeling, testing, and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills. Present a positive impression of the company.
Experience in the general construction industry - including building codes, fastening systems, roughing in, and processes.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without aid, move equipment, crouch, and kneel, work on lifts/ladders.

· Must be able to pass a drug test and several background tests to work in education facilities.

Efficient problem solver with a good driving record, strong customer relations skills and able to manage and install a project from drawings, specifications and schematics to a fully integrated

and demonstrated system.

Education Desired

Associates Degree in Electronics or equal experience.
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Teams)
Manufacturers Certifications are a plus
