Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day support for a growing specialty pharmaceutical company with almost 200 end users, including office and field-based employees. The role that will be working closely with our outsourced IT management firm located in the UK and IT personnel at our Danish Headquarter

Responsibilities

Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, printers, system hardware, phone system, and operating systems
Maintain group policy, user accounts, security settings, system authorization access, and request record
Troubleshoot and quickly resolve reported issues with defective equipment, applications, and software
Ensure operating system updates, software patches, and hardware of other network infrastructure upgrades are completed
Maintain inventory logs of all equipment and software
Assist in development and implementation of security policies as directed by outsourced IT management firm and Chief Financial Officer
Respond to system alerts and messages, alerting necessary staff, and escalating issues as appropriate
Work closely with Sr. IT Support Administrator, outsourced IT Director on day-to-day task and on-going projects
Implement and act in accordance with the organization's information security policies
Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference
Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization
Manage help desk ticketing system and user experience
Meeting room maintenance
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Mobile Device Management (MDM) support & deployments
Server room management, racking and associated maintenance
Collaborate with international IT support in our HQ located in Denmark to aid users with Quality system hosted by HQ and accessed by US users.
Asset management
Router configuration and management
Firewall configuration and management
Network switch configuration and management
Work with wider support team to deliver excellent customer experience
Take responsibility for users’ device malfunctions, and facilitate user working by alternative means while issue is being investigated
Develop and maintenance a technical understanding of Microsoft 365 and associated applications over Windows & iOS
Monitoring office network via remote management tools
Managing company backups and data recovery
Other duties as assigned

Education & Professional Background

BS/BA degree in IT or related field highly preferred
Minimum 7 years of IT experience; ideally in supporting a remote user base and/or supporting customer facing teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Expertise in Microsoft Administration (Office 365 and associated applications)
Proven skills in Windows Desktop and Laptop computer troubleshooting, deployment, and retirement
Willingness to work flexible shifts in emergencies or planned out-of-hours migrations, including nights and weekends (if business critical)
