Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor the health of our infrastructure and identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to scale our systems effectively to support a growing number of agents, aiming for a seamless increase from 20,000 to over 100,000 agents.
Scalability and Growth Planning: Develop and execute plans to ensure our infrastructure can handle future growth. Address current pain points related to load issues and system stability.
Proactive Infrastructure Management: Shift from a reactive approach to proactive infrastructure management by identifying potential issues before they impact service quality.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure processes, configurations, and best practices. Share knowledge with team members to foster a collaborative and informed work environment.
Customer and Team Collaboration: Address and resolve issues from both customers and internal stakeholders. Demonstrate patience and effective communication skills in dealing with frustrated or uncollaborative individuals.
Tool Proficiency: Utilize tools such as Grafana for monitoring, JIRA for task management, and Slack for team communication. Ensure effective use of YAML for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via GitLab.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience with Kubernetes, Istio, and managing microservices architectures. Previous experience in scaling infrastructure for growing systems is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of YAML implementations for IaC, particularly in GitLab. Familiarity with AWS, Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu), and Python is a plus. Proficiency in using Grafana, JIRA, and Slack.
Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex infrastructure challenges and develop innovative solutions to enhance scalability and reliability.
Documentation: Strong emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing to support a collaborative team environment.
Customer and Team Interaction: Comfort with managing customer expectations and collaborating with various team members to achieve common goals.
