Position Title: Vice President of Technology

Reports to: CFO

Department: Information Technology (IT)

Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Pay: $180,000-$240,000

The VP of Technology will spearhead the strategic direction and modernization of the organization’s technical infrastructure to support critical business needs. This role involves leading the company’s digital transformation including core operations, information security, customer service, data analytics, project management, network management, user experience (UX), software development, and vendor relationships.

Strategic Leadership

This position will be primarily responsible for:

Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s business short- and long-term goals and objectives.
Lead the digital transformation efforts to modernize and streamline operations, enhance productivity, and improve user experience.

Technology Management

Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT systems to support business growth.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department.

Project Management

Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Implement best practices for project management.

Data Management And Analytics

Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
Leverage data analytics to drive business insights and decision-making.

Compliance And Risk Management

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including data privacy and cybersecurity.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate IT-related risks.

Policy and Procedure Experience

Governance and Compliance: Oversee the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Change Management: Establish procedures for managing changes to technology systems, including software updates, hardware updates, and process changes.

Candidate Requirements

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
Experience with ERP systems and other enterprise software solutions including implementation.
Knowledge of data management, analytics, and cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Candidate Preferences

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
PMP (Project Management Professional)

Physical Requirements

Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 25% or more standing. The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and primarily in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 25 lbs. is required. 

Other Requirements

Requires working six days a week during our harvest season, which usually lasts about 10 weeks from July to September. During this time, shift schedule may vary.
