Tessco Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Linux DevOps Engineer to join Tessco’s IBT team and will be responsible for the building, managing and standardization of both on-premise and cloud-based Linux solutions, within the supported Cloud providers (Amazon Web Services). The engineer must possess a solid understanding of Linux, Networking, and Security principles and applying them to highly available production environments. This position requires a problem-solver with solid experience in scripting and automation to limit manual operations and processes. This position will require the engineer to implement functionalities to monitor, maintain and capacity plan environments current and future build within the Tessco landscape.

Responsibilities

Building, Managing, and Maintaining Linux computing environments.
Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure tools.
Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
Managing stakeholders and external interfaces of supported systems
Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
Incident management and root cause analysis to troubleshoot and fix the issue

Qualifications

A BS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
3-5 years of Linux based infrastructure experience in a production environment
3-5 years of cloud engineering experience supporting enterprise corporate environments
3+ years of experience with AWS multi region including VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Route53, and etc.
Working knowledge of CloudFormation, and/or Terraform preferred
Experience with Docker containerized environments
Excellent understanding of Python and Bash scripting and coding
Experience in DevOps and Agile processes and principles
Working knowledge of a popular security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, NIST 800-53, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
In-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices
Additional IT certifications are preferred
