Remote Information Security Manager (6 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE): Championing Our Digital Defense

The Role:

As Information Security Manager, you'll wear two hats - a strategic leader overseeing the information security program, and a hands-on contributor implementing best practices. You'll be responsible for safeguarding our organization's crown jewels - data, systems, networks, and sensitive information. Collaboration is key, as you'll partner with IT and business units to ensure information security aligns with overall business goals.

What You'll Do:

Craft and maintain rock-solid information security policies and procedures, reflecting industry standards and regulations. Proactively hunt threats, assess security risks, and develop mitigation strategies to fortify our defenses. Lead the charge in security incident response, investigating incidents and coordinating effective remediation efforts. Continuously improve our security posture by selecting and implementing cutting-edge security technologies. Educate and empower employees with knowledge of security best practices through engaging training programs. Stay ahead of the curve by actively monitoring security trends, emerging threats, and industry developments. Ensure adherence to relevant security standards and frameworks (PCI, NIST CSF, etc.). Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with IT teams, management, and stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives.

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. A strong cybersecurity foundation, with certifications like CISM or CEH being a plus. Proven track record in information security risk management and incident response. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 5+ years of experience in information security, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Hands-on experience with Microsoft security tools like Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel.
