The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Security

Engineer, at Ventilation, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the security

of new and existing respiratory products. You will directly consult with new

product development teams and help to shape security architecture for the

products being developed in alignment with a product security strategy.

We will look for this security

professional to learn all there is to know about the cybersecurity of

respiratory products to be able to directly help customers resolve relevant

security issues.

You will be a valued member of the

product security team, directly reporting to the Manager, Product Security. You

will be aligned with the other team members to actively help drive the

implementation of the product security strategy.

In particular, you can expect to:

· Support the client Ventilation business, directly liaising with product teams in Irvine (California), Brazil, and Switzerland

· Establish and strengthen relations with QARA, design control, and external partners used within product development and security

· Act as the Product Security conduit in all of America’s region

· Build strong relationships with new product development teams to develop and align product security architecture

· Oversee work done at third parties contracted for security services, e.g. penetration tests

· Integrate external test results into the technical documentation

· Perform threat model analysis together with technical product specialists

· Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for identified threats and establish traceability for prescribed mitigating security controls

· Perform a technical analysis of vulnerabilities in existing products

· Help define and write relevant security requirements that derive from security controls

· Keep track of the implementation status of security-related deliverables

· Take a data-driven approach to tracking and reporting

· Ensure timely communication to both internal customers and external collaborators

· Directly impact patient outcomes by helping us to provide secure products

· Work closely with a globally distributed product security team in an innovative, fast-paced, highly connected, and productive environment

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this

role from day one, Augusta is looking for candidates with the following

qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software development, or relevant experience

· Minimum of 2 years of relevant security and/or software development experience

· Experience with threat model analysis and cybersecurity risk assessment

· Knowledge of security concepts and models such as STRIDE and CVSS

· Language skills: English (B2 level or better)

· CISSP or other relevant qualifications (preferred)

· Experience working in product development or alongside a product development team (preferred)

· Knowledge or experience of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the FDA’s cybersecurity pre- and post-market guidance regarding cybersecurity requirements (preferred)

· Knowledge of AAMI TIR57 (preferred)

· General knowledge in the following fields (Preferred):

o Software development

o APIs

o Networking

Additional qualifications that will

help you succeed even further in this role include:

· Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF and RMF, OWASP
