The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our current network configuration and infrastructure. Implement remediation of network infrastructure issues, coordinates service outages and schedule upgrades. You will provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using strong technical skills in Linux and Windows environments and IP networking.
Responsibilities
- Design and support our network systems and infrastructure
- Configure and operate routers and switches
- Set up, configure, and provide support for both internal and external networks.
- Assist with IT-related projects within technology operations.
- Proactively monitor network alarms and respond accordingly, escalating issues as necessary for resolution.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications or equipment.
- Manage the delivery of services, testing, activation, and implementation of new network circuits.
- Conduct circuit analysis, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
- Assist with the building, installation, and decommissioning of network equipment as needed.
- Support data center equipment changes, including moves, additions, cabling installations, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical assessments and guidance to users and support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of experience with network administration in a Linux or Windows environment
- Experience supporting LAN/WAN networks, routers and switches
