Our client seeks a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure. Manage their local network and Azure Cloud infrastructure, setting standards for backups, security, and more. Drive Cloud transition, overseeing local and Cloud environments, collaborating on complex problem-solving. Ensure optimal performance and reliability, addressing day-to-day IT/cloud requests and optimizing software. Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure/SQL

Responsibilities
- Azure Cloud Management: Oversee and operate Azure VM instances, production storage, and various Azure services. Implement multi-region clusters, disaster recovery, and efficient database administration/operations.
- Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive knowledge and documentation of Cloud/IT products. Train the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
- Automation and Efficiency: Lead the implementation of automated processes, minimizing manual administration activities. Forecast demand for cloud resources and establish and test data backup protocols for cloud/SQL databases.
- Infrastructure Leadership: Design and manage network architecture, computer systems infrastructure, and IP-based networks. Identify and address single points of failure, emphasizing a proactive approach to infrastructure stability.
- Security Expertise: Implement robust cybersecurity protocols, including Data Access Management (DAM) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) rights. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scanning of Cloud infrastructure to enhance IT security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Remote position with a preference for candidates near Littleton, CO, or Rye Brook, NY.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure, including security architecture/infrastructure.
- Proficiency in SQL integration within Azure environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols, including DAM and PAM.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and experience in automation.
- Experience with database management (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server).
- 7+ years’ experience in IT & Azure Cloud Infrastructure management.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSI models) and WAN technologies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $145,000-$160,000
