Information Technology (IT) Service Delivery Manager

Leading IT consulting company seeks an IT Service Delivery Manager who will be responsible for staffing & managing the Service Desk Team and Support Engineers while ensuring appropriate customer support service levels are met. The IT Service Delivery Manager will have to stay on top of new technologies & methods for addressing staffing and scheduling as well as creating and building a foundation of procedures for delivering excellent customer care. In this role, the Manager will report on team performance to upper management, manage special projects and provide escalation support to clients for issues. The IT Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the Managed Services practice which means they own customer relationships as it pertains to their services, performing Monthly & Quarterly business reviews and ensuring that monthly reports are delivered on time.
Qualifications – IT Service Delivery Manager
- Possess a college degree (preferred but not required if candidate possesses equivalent technical and leadership experience)
- 5+ years of related experience in a leadership role required (ideally managing teams of 10 team members or more)
- 5+ years project or program management required
- Strong people skills, business acumen, strategic insight and in-depth experience in technical Incident and Problem Management
- Strong technical background & understanding is crucial to this role; Candidates should be familiar with the following technologies: Cisco Networking, VMware, Cloud Environments – preferably Azure, Windows operating systems
- Excellent customer interaction skills
- Ability to perform current work and assist the other team members with theirs
- This position will involve an on-call schedule, providing after-hours support as necessary
- Personable; customer-facing; ability to present well in meetings (internally and with external customers
