IndySoft specializes in industrial software for high-precision manufacturing and calibration industries. The software applications we produce are used worldwide and are relied upon by many of the most successful and well-known enterprise customers and commercial calibration labs.
We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to oversee IndySoft's Azure environment. IndySoft's Systems Cloud Administrator will be responsible for ensuring all customer-facing applications are available and performing 24x7x365. Your duties will include diagnosing and troubleshooting advanced server, networking, and cloud services issues as well as working on proactive tasks such as managing alerts and reports for backups, antivirus, patching, and other technologies. You will also monitor system health, troubleshoot/escalate system problems, ensure system security requirements are satisfied, and manage server optimization to reduce capital expenditures. You will be the primary contact responsible for emergency issues affecting multiple users and/or multiple locations.

Cloud Administrator Responsibilities:
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability of IndySoft Cloud
- Construct Cloud-based servers based on IndySoft's template
- Assist in the migration of existing customers from premise-based to Cloud-based instances
- Perform regular network and system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing of any identified or end-user-reported issues
- Configure and maintain virtual servers per business requirements
- Update and maintain network diagrams. Document all systems administration configuration processes and installation procedures
- Utilize IndySoft's ticket management system for problem resolution, evidence capture, and trend analysis
- Provide technical support for our Cloud implementations
- Register and maintain domain registrations, DNS, and SSL certificates
- Install Infrastructure application patches/fixes and plan/implement upgrades
- Ensure service levels are maintained for SLAs
- Assist with incident response and investigations related to outages or data breaches, including documentation, mitigation, remediation, and corrective action plans
- Work with Microsoft Azure support to mediate all issues and concerns within Azure infrastructure
- Interact with and closely monitor the activities of external third-party information technology vendors to ensure alignment with security concerns, organizational goals, contractual obligations, and service-level agreements.
- Create, maintain, and use scripts to automate routine tasks
- Monitor server and application performance and resource utilization to manage costs and assist with forecasting resource needs
- Support regulatory needs such as SOC 2 by providing the appropriate technical resources
- Assist with the completion of vendor security assessment questionnaires
- Identify controls and risks/issues and manage/escalate as applicable
- Create and test disaster recovery plans
Cloud Administrator Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information science or an equivalent, Military Experience, or relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience working within Azure Cloud Environments
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting systems in the public cloud.
- 3+ years experience with network and system administration, open-source technologies, scripting languages or web application development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- A basic understanding of relational databases and entry-level DBA skills
- A desire and ability to identify and solve problems
- Great communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening
- Strong hands-on technical skills and ability to solve technical issues independently
