Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced co-founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical team and drive the development of our social networking platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and scaling social media platforms, as well as a passion for leveraging technology to enhance user experiences and drive growth.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop the initial MVP for our social platform
- Help define a product roadmap and weigh in on feature discussions
- Lead the technical vision and strategy for Trade’s social networking platform, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and user needs.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, and marketing, to define and prioritize features, enhancements, and technical requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Drive operational excellence, establishing best practices, processes, and standards for software development, quality assurance, and performance optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and data privacy requirements, prioritizing the security and integrity of user data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
- Proven track record of success as a technology leader, with 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience planning resource requirements and budgeting
- Extensive experience in building and scaling social networking platforms, with a deep understanding of relevant technologies, architectures, and frameworks.
- Strong technical proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, automation).
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable technical strategies and roadmaps, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities and resources effectively.
