We are seeking an organized and motivated IT Manager to oversee all aspects of the day-to-day IT operation at the property level. The position will report to the Divisional IT Manager and be responsible for providing technical support, ensuring IT security compliance and maintaining IT hardware & systems in accordance with all Belmond IT standards and procedures.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide a "five star" level of IT support to El Encanto employees and guests
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of and maintain compliance with all Belmond corporate IT security standards, policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain a proficient working knowledge of El Encanto IT network and system components
- Monitor the IT help desk and review tickets daily. Prioritize critical tasks and follow-up in a thorough, timely manner
- Provision & maintain property user accounts for all systems & applications. Ensure adherence to Belmond starter/leaver policies & procedures
- Respond to and troubleshoot issues with guest room technologies (TV, WIFI, Phone, etc.)
- Respond to and troubleshoot issues with hospitality technologies (POS, PMS, etc.)
- Report and review status of IT projects and tasks with the Divisional IT Manager on a regular basis
- Monitor and conduct preventative maintenance on all IT-related equipment, effectively identifying issues as they occur and taking the appropriate steps to resolve them
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Maintain IT inventory and submit purchase requisitions to replenish shortages of items or equipment required to meet anticipated needs
- Display a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude at all times; especially when interacting with guests and visitors to the hotel and restaurant
- Maintain a clean, groomed work appearance, complying with all property dress code and hygiene standards
- On-call availability for emergency, after-hour IT-related issues
- Complete monthly, quarterly & annual IT security checklists
- Monitor internal compliance dashboard daily & remediate outstanding points in a timely fashion
- Delegate tasks and provide next-level IT support for part-time System Support Technician

Requirements
Requirements of the position:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in an IT manager or team lead role
- Excellent working knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals; ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of PC hardware and software issues
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office suite applications
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server product line and applications
- Experience working in an IT help desk environment, providing both remote and on-site technical support
- Proficient working knowledge of network hardware infrastructure components (switches, cabling, wireless access points, etc.)
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to think clearly in high pressure situations and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding/difficult situations
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a timely, efficient manner
- Strong organizational skills; must be able to delegate, manage and complete assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and work productively in a busy, unsupervised work environment
- Ability to work effectively and relate well with senior management, colleagues, and individuals, both inside and outside the hotel
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear; frequently required to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office and cleaning equipment
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision
- Ability to lift equipment, supplies, etc. up to at least 50 pounds
Preferred experience:
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ Certification; CCNA
- Hospitality IT experience a plus
- Additional language skills a plus
Compensation is starting $93,000
