The Director of Infrastructure will be responsible for all internal and client-facing systems, network, and cloud objectives and will strive to ensure that all information assets are secure, available and performing at maximum capacity. The role requires a thorough understanding of the technology underpinning IT systems, as well as a broad, up-to-date knowledge of information security frameworks, pertinent regulation and legislation, vulnerability management, incident management and response, cybersecurity operations, and management and governance of information risk.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leads and manages all client systems, network and cloud services; with adequate knowledge of best practices in each area.
· Makes sure all client contractual expectations on delivery are met within SLA.
· Be responsible for the uptime SLAs for Hosting in Cloud (specifically AWS; and VMWare based Private Cloud).
· Be Responsible for Operational Efficiency and manage Operational Automation wherever possible.
· Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators, specifically.
· Division P&L.
· P&L by Client and by the datacenter.
· Collections, including invoice reports and Accounts Receivables.
· Works and managed OculusIT Partners and Vendors for delivery of existing and new services and the consequent payment approvals.
· Identify ways for the operations team to improve the client engagement model, including the 24x7 client support and IT functions, by ensuring that processes, procedures and controls are in place to deliver 100% client satisfaction.
· Work closely with the other members of the executive team to help define the broader strategy and direction of the company.
· Plans the Staffing Requirements and works with Talent Acquisition to hire and retain Talent; Interviews, recruits, retains and trains employees.
· Supports OculusIT Sales (direct, partner, and other channels) and Marketing.
· Manages and achieves the department’s forecast, budget and reporting including P/L and performance targets (company, team and individual, i.e., performance appraisals, company targets).
· Creates a client services organizational culture that achieves revenue targets, expense targets, net profits and billable utilization.
· Instills the mindset that our clients’ satisfaction and risk management is our number one priority.
· Works closely with product management to ensure new service packages and refinement of existing service packages.
· Coaches, mentors and develops teams to sustain the growth of the company.
· Leads great people by attracting top IT talent to build high performing teams with superior technical depth and outstanding customer relationship skills.
· Fosters a corporate culture that promotes the highest ethical practices and encourages individual responsibility and accountability.
· Leads the performance appraisal activities.
· Develops and maintains policies and procedures, SOPs and internal training materials.
· Designs, monitors, and refines work processes and procedures so that issues are resolved efficiently and by the appropriate level of skill set.
· Ensures escalated issues are addressed in a timely manner and that established service levels are consistently achieved.
· Uses industry standard measures to report and review contracts metrics.
· Uses industry standard metrics and measures to assess team performance (service quality, staffing levels, service levels, etc.) and adjust resources and processes accordingly.
· Works on other Duties as assigned.
Experience:
· 10 - 15 years of relevant experience.
Salary Budget:
$75,000/year + Benefits
Qualifications:
· A four-year degree from an accredited institution, equivalent qualification or experience.
· One or more IT specific certification needed i.e. Process (e.g. ITIL),Networking(e.g. CCNA), Systems (e.g. RHCE), Cloud (e.g. AWS) etc.
· Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations.
· Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
