Intelligent Waves is seeking a talented and experienced Jr Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance. They will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our customers infrastructure and operational systems.

Location: This Jr Systems Engineer position is based at Warner Robins AFB, GA.
Travel: Must have ability to travel as needed. This position may also be deployed from 30-90 days for strategic efforts.
Security Clearance: This Jr Systems Engineer must hold an active TS/SCI Clearance.

- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in support of our customer.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other staff as needed.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Participate in system engineering projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking, and virtualization.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP)) are a plus.
