Forming Research Team for Cyber Security Workforce Development
This summer cyber security students can participate in a national research study to fund work based learning experiences at Penn State University. As a participant in this research study, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience performing employer outreach, team building, fund raising, project management, resource development and event management. Assignments given to students in the study will build soft skills often overlooked by academic ecosystems. Focus will be given to critical thinking, problem solving, managerial & supervisory communications and interpersonal skills. Our workgroups will build their teams, devise market strategies, ramp up capabilities, perform employer outreach, respond to RFQ’s and RFP’s for teaming agreements, and build funding resources for sustained national growth.

Qualifications
- Cyber security and Cyber knowledge and expertise
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Network security knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Experience in the field of cyber security is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of research methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
