The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of company systems, server hardware, software, and related infrastructure. They will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support and expertise to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and other software applications
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes and updates
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring efficient and effective system usage
- Collaborate with IT team members to develop and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and security standards
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and policies
- Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices to continuously improve system administration processes
- Document system configurations, changes, and procedures
- Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities as required

- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Certification in relevant areas such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is a plus
