Position Overview:
As a Systems Administrator at Nexee, you will be a critical component of our IT infrastructure team, responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our IT infrastructure's reliability, efficiency, and security, enabling our team to develop and deliver our groundbreaking platform without interruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server and Workstation Management: Oversee and manage both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security for all workstations and servers.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Implement, monitor, and maintain IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, networking devices, and storage systems.
- Network Administration: Administer network operations, including LAN/WAN hardware/software, connectivity, and security, ensuring seamless network availability.
- Security Protocols: Develop and enforce policies for system security, internet protocols, and firewall configurations to protect sensitive data and secure against unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide high-level technical support across the organization, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime. This includes regular system maintenance and emergency response for critical incidents.
- Software and Hardware Updates: Evaluate and install necessary software and hardware upgrades to enhance system performance and expand capabilities.
- System Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to oversee system performance and anticipate potential issues before they escalate.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup processes and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability in all scenarios.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems architecture, procedures, and policies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with IT and development teams to streamline operations. Provide training and guidance to staff on IT best practices and system usage.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a strong background in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of server and workstation management in both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Proficiency in network administration, workstation policy mgt and security protocols.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms.
- Certifications: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) are highly desirable.
