The IT Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the office's computer network, servers, court case management system, other equipment, and will delegate duties to other IT staff as necessary.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
- In-depth knowledge of IT equipment and best practices, digital security, network architecture, and IP communications
- Maintain detailed equipment inventories and proactively make suggestions on equipment replacement schedules
- Assist other IT staff in troubleshooting end-user issues involving both hardware and software
- Research technical issues related to end-user equipment and software
- Recommend changes in equipment, systems, and procedures to enhance office productivity
- Install, upgrade, and repair equipment and peripherals as needed
- Provide assistance to end-users in the use of equipment and software
- Communicate and interact consistently with office staff, court personnel, law enforcement officials, attorneys, and County Data Processing Staff.
NECESSARY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to solve technical issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of users. Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Willingness to work as a team with others and to handle a variety of areas including desktop support, network maintenance and installation, and software support including Microsoft Office 365.
- Working knowledge of Crystal Reports, previous experience with CourtView Justice Solutions, and Onbase is desired.
- Knowledge of common office practices and procedures in a legal environment is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related studies and a minimum of 3+ years of IT management experience or an Associates degree in related studies and a minimum of 5+ years of IT management experience.
- Certifications desired include A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
