The McAfee Institute is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Loss Prevention Programs to lead our efforts in safeguarding the organization's assets and reputation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive loss prevention strategies and programs, managing a team of professionals, and integrating innovative loss prevention technologies accross differenty types of business and industries. This role is pivotal in minimizing losses related to theft, fraud, vandalism, and other forms of misconduct, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilties
- Developing and Implementing Loss Prevention Strategies: Design and implement robust policies and procedures that effectively minimize organizational losses due to various risks and threats. Tailor strategies to the specific needs of the Institute, considering the unique challenges and opportunities within the field of intelligence and law enforcement education.
- Staff Management and Training: Lead a team of loss prevention professionals by hiring, training, and supervising staff. Ensure all team members are proficient in the latest loss prevention techniques and technologies. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Conducting Audits and Investigations: Regularly perform audits of operations and internal processes to ensure adherence to loss prevention protocols. Investigate any incidents of reported theft, fraud, or other losses, collaborating with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with various departments such as Human Resources, Operations, and Finance to integrate loss prevention measures throughout the organization. Promote a unified approach to security and risk management.
- Technology Implementation: Oversee the selection and deployment of advanced technological solutions including surveillance systems, alarm systems, and data analytics tools. Ensure technology adoption aligns with loss prevention goals and operational needs.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analyze data related to loss prevention and report on trends and the effectiveness of implemented strategies. Provide actionable insights to senior management, aiding in the strategic decision-making process.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for loss prevention activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Onboard new customers: Provide consultation to businesses around the world on best practices on loss prevention strategies.
- Loss Prevention Training & Awareness Programs: Develop, teach and train on loss prevention awarness programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in loss prevention, security management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive loss prevention programs.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and training teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in the use of technology related to loss prevention and data analysis.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with law enforcement and legal entities.
NOTICE: This is an onsite role in Chesterfield MO. No remote or hybrid work for this role. No relocation is offered as we are seeking a local candidate.
Compensation
Base Salary:
- $85,000 Annually - This competitive base salary reflects the importance and responsibilities of the Director of Loss Prevention Programs role within our institute.
Performance Bonuses and Incentives:
- Annual Performance Bonus: $25,000 - Eligible for an annual performance bonus based on achieving predefined organizational goals that will be detailed at the start of the fiscal year. Success in implementing effective loss prevention strategies and achieving significant reductions in loss metrics will drive eligibility for this bonus.
- Quarterly Incentives: Totaling $40,000 Annually - Additional performance incentives of $10,000 per quarter are available based on meeting or exceeding specific quarterly objectives. These objectives will be set in alignment with immediate operational needs and strategic goals, focusing on project completions, effectiveness of training programs, and interim loss prevention targets.
Total Earning Potential:
- With the base salary combined with performance-driven bonuses and incentives, the total potential earnings can reach up to $150,000 annually, contingent upon meeting and exceeding set performance goals.
