Chief Information Officer

This non-remote position is responsible for both the Information Technology and the Information Security needs of the bank. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for being the focal point for information protection standards established by the Technology Committee of the Bank and is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures relating to the Bank’s Information Security Program.
- Responsible and held accountable for the development and implementation of the IT strategy to support the Bank’s business strategy in line with its risk appetite assigned by the Board of Directors.
- Plans, organizes, and controls the Bank’s day-to-day information technology resource activities, and ensures the Bank's information technology activities are secure and stable, and are used to help maximize profits commensurate with the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public.
- Assists in attaining established Bank operational and financial goals.
- Implements the information technology architecture and participating in planning activities, ensures accountability for security, business resilience, risk reporting, and alignment of information technology with business needs, and collaborates with the Chief Operations Officer in the overall administration of these directives for the Bank.
- Manages the activities of Information Technology Department personnel to ensure adherence to information protection standards are consistently maintained, supervises and works closely with the data processing, electronic banking, Internet banking, information technology, central services, special projects and other department or branch managers in developing short and long-term information technology plans and programs for the Bank, and conducts frequent meetings with management members.
- Develops and implements information technology architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs, supervises major information technology projects of the Bank, including resources and facilities, products and services, and policies and procedures, and implements effective processes for information technology risk management (ITRM), including those that relate to cybersecurity.
- Chairs the Bank’s Technology Committee, formally submits information technology recommendations to the Bank’s Management Committee, assists in hardware and software selection, reviews vendor agreements and conducts contract negotiations, etc., and may serve on other Bank committees as required.
The ideal candidate will have an associate or bachelor’s degree with at least 7+ years of related IT experience. Previous banking experience preferred, but not required. In addition, this position will also require excellent leadership and supervision skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of technology with an appropriate risk-level that aligns with the bank, have a strong sense of attention to detail, be of high moral character and integrity, be a team player, working with other senior management members, have excellent common sense and problem-solving skills, have a professional demeanor and appearance and is able to interact professionally with a wide variety of people.
