This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Central Office, 2414 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

As the Network Administrator, working under minimal supervision, you will provide technical assistance, setup, and support for DMH approved WAN hardware and software. Support staff involved in VOIP, Emergency Department Video Conferencing, Community Video Conferencing and assist with School Based Video Conferencing.
Responsibilities for this Network Administrator include but are not limited to:
- Primary contact for overall WAN support and troubleshooting.
- Installs, configures, and maintains WAN routers.
- Installs, configures, and maintains WAN switches.
- Participates in system configuration, coordination, and equipment installation for VOIP.
- Troubleshoot the WAN utilizing Optivity and Solarwinds applications to monitor the networks.
- Assists in Endpoint Security and Web Filtering administration.
- Communicates information from Network Services to various levels of Staff in DMH.
- Manages, monitors, and maintains MAC OS X devices.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology systems or a related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements: A four-year degree in computer science or equivalent experience in data and video communications systems and design, installation, operation, repair, or marketing or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Additional Comments
The selected candidate must have a knowledge of communication or information systems, voice, and data networking. Knowledge of hardware and software systems setup and connectivity. Knowledge and technical expertise of implementing network security. Must be able to work some nights/weekends and travel. Ability to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
