Summary of duties and responsibilities:
The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the NBOME’s technology department for server administration, network configuration, Storage-Backup, application support, 365, website infrastructure, and meeting the technology needs of the organization in a proactive manner. A successful NBOME Systems Engineer will be skilled in Network/Infrastructure, VMWare, 365, IT Security, Linux, and also be comfortable with learning custom applications. The position requires versatility.
Responsibilities
· Maintain servers and networking hardware. VMware and ProCurve / Aruba
· Monitor backups (Veeam)
· Administer Microsoft Active Directory and 365
· Support Systems Engineering Leads for project support (Linux, Windows, Automation)
· Resolve or escalate all inbound work orders for systems engineering and meet internal SLAs
· Work within a structured change control process
Qualifications include:
· Minimum of 5 years working in System Engineering.
· Experience administering network equipment like Meraki, Cisco, Fortinet, or Aruba preferred.
· Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, Azure, ManageEngine, Sophos, LogicMonitor, and ZenDesk is desired. MSSQL, WordPress, Oracle is a plus.
· Dependable, reliable, and accountable team player.
· Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
· Organized, self-starting, and personable with the ability to multitask and communicate well.
· Ability to follow set procedures, and a desire for accuracy in job performance.
