Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks a full-time Network Security Administrator to join its Information Systems team in Wilmington, DE. This position reports to the CIO and would support a wide-range of activities, including: Assisting with network security polices, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards throughout the Firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee backup and restore functionality of firm data, and ensure procedures are consistently followed and improved.
2. System monitoring and maintenance, including configuration and security management, patching, automation, and hardening baselines.
3. Maintain existing ISO27001 certification with IS department teams.
4. Remain current on active system trends and exploits, with a focus on prevention and remediation of threats.
5. Monitor network and systems for vulnerabilities and assist in remediation efforts.
6. Implement and enhance data protection standards to ensure confidentiality of client and firm data.
7. Configure and update security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, patch management and intrusion prevention systems.
8. Perform risk analysis and remediation efforts.
9. Assist with annual security awareness training, phishing simulations, and targeted threat detection.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to rapidly analyze issues, anticipate consequences, make decisions, and initiate action. Excellent problem-solving skills are also required.
2. Thorough knowledge of complex information systems management as normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, or the equivalent experience.
3. Minimum (3) years of security experience along with security certifications such as Comptia Security+ or other related certificates are preferred.
4. Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively and efficiently to attorneys, managers staff and vendors – along with the ability to present data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences, maintain effective relationships with the above in person, by e-mail, telephone, or remote.
5. Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with IS department to perform the same.
