What you will be doing!
Diverse Concepts, an Independent Software, Inc. subsidiary, seeks an IT Support Specialist. In this role, you will operate within a managed service provider environment, assisting the company's clientele remotely or onsite. The chosen candidate will engage in collaborative and independent work and travel to client locations for troubleshooting, equipment deployment, and site surveys as necessary.
Requirements
- Experience with Help Desk / Call Center ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Kaseya, Atlassian Jira, ServiceNow)
- 7+ years of hands-on remote and onsite IT systems support experience in a commercial IT high availability environment (MSP experience desired)
- 3+ years of experience with networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP)
- 7+ years of experience in PC / laptop repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and decommissioning
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (e.g., AD Sync, configuring virtual machines, network security groups, Microsoft Security and Compliances Centers)
- Switch installation and configuration experience (e.g., Cisco, Netgear, Mitel
- Customer support experience working in a call center
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Driving a company vehicle: The candidate must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be approved by our insurance carrier.
- Traveling to various customer sites (when required for troubleshooting or deliveries) using a company vehicle
- Requires kneeling, bending, considerable use of hands and tools, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, walking to sites, sitting for extended periods of time, and working in confined spaces.
- Working an assigned eight (8) hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
- Exposure to varied environmental conditions (e.g., air-conditioned server rooms kept at sixty-five (65) degrees)
- Must have specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Candidates considered for employment must pass a background check and drug screen
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience using both on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory services
- 2+ years of experience using EDR/MDR/Anti-virus applications through a centrally managed portal (e.g., OneView, CA, Sophos)
- Wireless Access Point installation and configuration experience (Aruba or Cisco)
- Experience using the Kaseya tool suite (e.g., Datto, Autotask, etc.)
- CompTIA A+, NET+ or Security+ certification
- Cisco CCNA certification is preferred but not required
