Auria is looking for a
Software Solutions Architect for a fully funded
hybrid position in El Segundo, CA (on-site 4 days a week).
U.S. Citizenship is required.
This position supports the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command, Operational Command, and Control Acquisition Delta, known as Kobayashi Maru. Kobayashi Maru is responsible for continuously delivering impactful software for space operations. The program office’s mission includes the development and deployment of software for space defense, space domain awareness, and enabling data services
Salary Range: $130k-$145k
Job Description
- Define software system architectures, its main components, their interfaces, and the interactions with each other and externally at the portfolio and enterprise level
- Design the software system of systems to meet Key Performance Parameters and Key System Attributes
- Enforce sound software engineering standards and methods as well as proper, secure utilization of modern technologies
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders to determine the discrete functional and non-functional requirements for each software iteration
- Create architectural documentation and models to capture software design concepts, user interface layouts, functional workflows, and integration
- Develop software specifications to support development activities with keen attention to integration, test, dependency, resiliency, risk, constraints, and feasibility
- Effectively communicate concepts and guidelines at all levels to enable repeatable, secure, rapid software development and deployment
- Advise on best practices and approaches to software architectures, algorithms, development, patterns, implementation, and integration – while complying with data, platform, test, cost, and schedule constraints
- Provide development teams with architectural blueprints, workflows, and strategies to ensure delivered software meets mission requirements and user needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues from system level integration and test, down to code issues, defects, and designs
- Architect the product level, portfolio level, and enterprise level roadmaps to inform development and delivery activities for the next 1-4 years
- Collaborate with requirements management and configuration management to ensure mutual awareness and understanding of the overarching design, development, and delivery solution
Requirements - Minimum 12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years of experience as an architect with Digital Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, or STEM from an accredited institution
- US Citizen and possession of a current Secret Clearance
- Your resume must demonstrate experience in:
- Architecting software solutions for high volume, complex missions
- Successfully executing systems of systems software planning, design, integration, and test
- Designing cloud-native software application architectures and hybrid cloud environments in AWS and Azure
- Delivering software within the DevSecOps framework
- Implementing application security, cloud security, and cybersecurity techniques
- Foundational understanding of astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, and/or space domain awareness
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Java, Kotlin, SQL, Kubernetes, and Microservices
