Skillset / Experience:
INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Trainer for a dynamic role in the Houston area. The IT Cybersecurity Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering IT cybersecurity training to employees. They will work with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that employees know the latest cybersecurity threats and have the skills and knowledge to protect the company's information assets.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs on IT security best practices to client personnel.
- Utilize various teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and levels of technical proficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, threats, and solutions in IT security to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with internal teams to customize training materials based on client needs and industry-specific requirements.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training sessions and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IT security matters, offering insights and recommendations to clients as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and feedback for reporting purposes.
- Actively participate in professional development activities to enhance training skills and knowledge of emerging technologies.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of experience in IT security, with a focus on training and education.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs in a corporate or organizational setting.
- Hands-on experience with security tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Previous experience working with diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and understandably.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust training strategies based on audience feedback and the evolving security landscape.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing training materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive activities.
- Passion for teaching and empowering others to enhance their knowledge and skills in IT security.
