The
Information Technology Systems Director at
Aqua-Chem plays a crucial role in aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and mitigating risks related to technology and information security.
This position maintains information technology strategies across a multisite global organization, developing a comprehensive technological strategy to meet company needs; delivering optimal return on investment, and maintaining utmost security to support commercial and federal regulations that apply to system operations.
Schedule: FT, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the overall technological strategy to support organizational goals of a global multisite organization.
- Understands business needs by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
- Collaborating with members of the executive team and global partners to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technology systems.
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures to ensure business continuity.
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements, providing recommendations for improvement of the current IT infrastructure.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring annual expenditures, CAPEX expenditures.
- Manages local IT purchases, manages vendor agreements, and cultivates supplier relationships.
- Leads "local" development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems.
- Has a key role in the integration projects to include integration of multisite global organization through merger and acquisition.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Implement and monitor IT security measures and facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP), managing ERP efforts and implementing across the organization.
- Identifies new developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications.
- Establishes long-term IS needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field), MBA preferred but not required.
- Five (5) plus years of management experience leading multisite team.
- Ten (10) plus years of experience in the field of Information Technology.
- Experience working within a multisite global organization.
- Previous Project Management experience executing large IT/Information System implementations.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Good interpersonal skills are required to interface with functional leaders across the company.
- Able to work overtime as required.
