The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging technology and the company's strategic goals. This individual is tasked with overseeing the technological infrastructure of the company, ensuring the seamless operation of IT-related activities, and aligning these efforts with the broader business objectives. The IT Manager will be responsible for researching, developing, and deploying technological solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and innovation across the organization. Staying abreast of emerging technology trends, the IT Manager will guide the company through digital transformations and ensure that the IT department supports growth and competitiveness in the market.
General Duties:
- Oversee the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Design and implement computer networks and software to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Develop and manage the company's intranet and internet presence.
- Assess and fulfill personnel equipment needs.
- Manage all aspects of company telephony.
- Ensure robust digital security across all technology platforms.
- Guarantee that technology resources are up-to-date and accessible.
- Troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, and network operating systems.
- Maintain expertise in the company’s technology stack.
- Provide technology orientation and training to new and existing staff.
- Keep an accurate inventory of technology assets.
- Develop data backup and recovery strategies.
- Oversee cloud-based services and infrastructure.
Specific Duties:
- Monitor and ensure the functionality of live demos.
- Troubleshoot network issues affecting customers and internal records systems.
- Maintain uptime for engineering systems.
- Optimize customer operating systems for server software compatibility.
- Administer Office 365, SharePoint, MDM systems, QuickBooks, Peachtree, and other essential software.
- Manage telephony systems, virtual private clouds, and ISP connections.
- Provide workstation support including troubleshooting OS, virus protection, and hardware issues.
- Oversee backup processes for ticketing systems.
- Ensure network security through regular maintenance of firewalls, antivirus software, and cyber protection measures.
- Manage domain names, system images, server environments, and compliance with standards such as CJIS and HIPAA.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in an IT-related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience with computer and server hardware.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in networking.
- Proven track record of managing cloud-based services effectively.
- Strong understanding of digital security practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
