Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our datacentric data protection & resilience firm in supporting, developing, and executing a robust suite of datacentric solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for of our existing award-winning solutions, and developing market-leading ‘next’ technological innovations, shaping our digital roadmap, and ensuring successful implementation of technology initiatives that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement a product and solution strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives, emphasizing data security and privacy.
- Technological Innovation: Drive technological innovation of the company’s product offerings, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments in the field of data security.
- Data Management and Security: Oversee the collection, management, storage, and protection of data across the organization, ensuring the highest standards of data governance and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the technical teams, including IT, engineering, support, and cybersecurity professionals.
- Technical Oversight: Design and oversee the implementation of technical systems and processes, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness in providing secure data solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other executives inside and outside of the organization to ensure that data and technological resources are being leveraged to drive business growth and innovation.
- Cost Management: Develop budgets for technology initiatives and manage costs effectively, seeking opportunities to reduce expenditures without compromising quality or security.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and implementation of quality assurance protocols.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with data and technology, including potential data breaches and cyber threats.
- Professional Reputation/Presence: Publicly and professionally regarded as a Technology Authority/Expert highly desired.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 10-15 years of experience in senior-level technology roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in data security.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of data management, governance, and security practices overall, and datacentric specificities in particular.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in data management and security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CDMP) are highly desirable.
- Technology Development: MUST know how to write code and be familiar enough to lead teams working with the company’s technology stack of Linux, PHP, MySQL, Microsoft .NET, and GitHub.
