Empower360 is an innovative fitness and wellness platform designed to integrate seamlessly with wearable technology, offering users personalized fitness guidance and health monitoring. Our mission is to empower mature adults to achieve their wellness goals through cutting-edge technology and expert coaching. We are currently collaborating with Appinventiv to develop our app, and we are seeking a part-time CTO to help steer our technology vision and support our growth.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will be responsible for developing and implementing the technology strategy for Empower360. This role requires a deep understanding of wearable technology, fitness and health technology, and AI technologies, including supervised learning models for the app. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and health, and be dedicated to helping Empower360 achieve its mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the technology vision and strategy for Empower360.
- Oversee the integration and development of wearable and health technology within the platform.
- Supervise the app development agency (Appinventiv) to ensure alignment with technological goals and milestones.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained, including source codes, information for app store submission, and other critical materials.
- Establish and manage processes for quality assurance (QA) testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide guidance and support for the implementation of AI technologies, focusing on supervised learning models for the app.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the fitness, health, and AI industries.
- Advise on technical decisions and support troubleshooting as needed.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes as a key member of the executive team.
- Ensure that all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings (typically around 9 PM Pacific Time) and be available for additional meetings as needed.
- Use a camera for all virtual meetings due to the founder's hearing loss.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO or a senior technology leader.
- Strong background in wearable technology and health monitoring systems.
- Experience with AI technologies, including supervised learning models and virtual reality.
- Familiarity with listing or directory applications.
- Hands-on experience with development and coding.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic technology plans.
- High-level understanding of development processes, including QA testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must speak fluent or native English.
- Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity with flexibility in hours.

Compensation:
- Up to $2,000 monthly for part-time commitment (minimum 5 hours per week).
- Potential for 1% equity* in the company after a trial period to ensure a good fit with Empower360.
