Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior IT Applications Manager with our client located in Rheems, PA. This is a direct hire, remote W2 position. Occasional travel to Rheems will be required (for training, getting up to speed, etc). So living within driving distance is required (Lancaster, Hershey, Harrisburg areas) is required.

Job Description:
The IT Applications Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the application organization (including staffing, budgeting and other relevant management functions) and is required to hold all application delivery teams accountable for optimizing the cost, risk and value of applications throughout their life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Perform senior professional level business systems analysis and project management activities which include planning, designing, implementing and maintaining business applications and computer systems.
- Assesses customer and/or business process requirements; analyzes structure and flow of work and data that support needs; evaluates possible solutions and implements and/or recommends solutions that support the mission, values and goals of the company.
- Work closely with the business to develop detailed business requirements and well-supported, business case justifications for new IT system projects.
- Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization to ensure project success and user needs are identified and met.
- Creates and maintains standards, procedures, and documentation related to area of responsibility.
- Assess user needs and jointly define vision, goals and objectives to achieve same.
- Define resources and schedule for project/applications implementation.
- Organize, plan and schedule activities to assure project completion on time and within budget.
- Develop overall systems plans ensuring linkage to business drivers and goals.
- Prepare technical designs and manage the workload and costs for various business application developments.
- Determine when 3rd party support is required and oversee the selection and terms for contracting their services.
- Continuously review and analyze current, assigned system areas to identify improvements and potentially justify their implementation.
- Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of the team members and keep them challenged, motivated and trained to effectively meet their responsibilities.
- May supervise technical/support staff as required by individual position(s); participates in hiring, evaluating, training, disciplining, and recommending discharge staff as necessary.
- Ensure appropriate attention to quality assurance and the production of well-tested deliverables.
- Prepares project proposals and budgets; performs analysis for new technologies and system enhancements.
- Participates in recommending budget items; implements and allocates resources following budget approval.
- Ensure that all application designs take into account interoperability with other systems, integrated workflow and controlled processing.
- Support the early identification of risks for each IT activity and establish clear processes for expedited risk mitigation.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business management or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding and drive decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
- Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
- Strong analytical, data-processing and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
- Experience transitioning an organization from traditional practices to agile development methodologies.
- 8+ years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, cohesive team.
- Demonstrated experience in programming database applications, configuring large scale ERP applications, and leading development teams
- Experience in large scale ERP & CRM implementations
- Experience in managing multiple client portfolios and projects at a time
- Experience in implementing Cloud technologies
- Experience with IT Security requirements and management
- Experience or familiarity with manufacturing and distribution operations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, production reports or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.
- High levels of personal integrity when conducting the professional affairs of the organization and dealing with sensitive and confidential data relating to risks and costs.
- Calmness and clarity of thought while under pressure.
- The ability to uphold the goals and culture of the organization.
