Title: Director of Technology

Liberty Home Guard is the country's fastest-growing and best-rated home warranty provider. We are looking for a Director of Technology to spearhead our technological advancements and ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven ability to translate business priorities into tangible, innovative solutions. You will lead our team in implementing best-in-class systems, overseeing security protocols, and driving efficiency through clear KPIs. This will be a "strategic" yet "hands on" leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Manage IT Infrastructure Network & Systems, people, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and local team.
- Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing, and negotiating the allocation of resources, ensuring that we meet our short- and long-term department objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams, to understand their technology needs and priorities.
- Maintaining technology operations to include systems administration, network management, telecommunications management, system and data security, system and data backup and emergency recovery plans.
- Formulate and deploy strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective technologies aligned with and support overall business and Technology objectives.
- Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Translate company priorities into achievable, financially solid technology and optimization initiatives. Define clear KPI to measure impact into business value and process improvement.
- Leading technology projects from inception to completion: Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Lead software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain the company platform.
- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
- Develop and review operational and capital budgets to ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives of IT and the organization overall.
- Attend conferences, webinars, workshops, and engage in continuous learning.
- Implementing robust security measures and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Proven +10 years working experience as an IT manager or in a relevant role.
- Specific technology knowledge and experience Microsoft Office Suite products, Software/Platforms: Jira, Acquia Cloud, CircleCi, GitHub, AWS; Drupal, HTML, CSS; CRM Platforms, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, PHP, and JavaScript
- Proficiency in SQL (MySQL and MariaDB), NoSQL (MongoDB).
- CISSP, CCNP, ITIL, and AWS certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, partners and vendors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills with focus on the best need for the business and budget containment.
- Experience with project-management tools, methods, and techniques.
- Experience with server & cloud technology.
Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000 annually
