One of our world's largest Telecommunications client is seeking talented and innovative Cloud RAN Engineers to join our team in New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia. As a Cloud RAN Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, deployment, and optimization of our Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) infrastructure, ensuring superior network performance, scalability, and efficiency. Description:
- Plan and execute the deployment of Cloud RAN Network Functions for CU, DU, GNB, and RU elements onto various data center and node locations.
- Validate Network Functions are ready for service, alarm-free, and proper monitoring metrics are applied.
- Ensure CIQ data is properly formatted and ingested into Element Management Systems well ahead of deployment schedules.
- Support software updates, including the development of pre-test, deployment, and post-test criteria.
- Support efforts towards Zero-Touch Protocols (ZTP) and CI/CD methodologies.
- Produce and maintain MOPs and other related process flow documentation.
- Thorough understanding of 5G ORAN Network Functions (CU, CU-CP, CU-UP, DU, GNB, RUs).
- Thorough understanding and experience in deploying Network Functions (NFs) and instantiation on virtualized platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement Cloud RAN solutions.
- Lead the deployment of C-RAN infrastructure, including site surveys, equipment installation, and integration with existing network components.
- Monitor and analyze network performance to identify and resolve issues.
- Implement optimization techniques to enhance network efficiency, reduce latency, and improve user experience.
- Utilize virtualization technologies (NFV) to centralize baseband processing and manage resources dynamically.
- Collaborate with IT and data center teams to ensure seamless integration of C-RAN with cloud infrastructure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective C-RAN deployment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, network performance, deployment plans, and optimization efforts.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in RAN technologies (LTE, 5G NR) and cloud computing principles.
- Experience with Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, signaling, and RF planning.
- Tools and Software:
- Familiarity with network management tools, such as OSS/BSS, and performance monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation and network configuration.
- Experience with C-RAN specific technologies and vendors.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Cisco, VMware, Nokia, Ericsson).
