Duties As a Policy Analyst, GS-0301-13, your typical work assignments may include:
- Development of risk mitigation strategies to address national security risks arising from foreign investment in U.S. businesses, including drafting National Security Agreements between the U.S. Government and parties to a foreign investment, to implement those strategies.
- Monitoring private parties' compliance with legally binding risk mitigation agreements, identification of potential violations of risk mitigation agreements, and development of remedies. Maintain records related to compliance monitoring.
- Draft memoranda and briefing documents for senior officials which outline issues pertaining to foreign investment transactions, compliance monitoring, and associated policy.
- Participate in negotiations with private counterparties to develop risk mitigation agreements or remediate violations of existing risk mitigation agreements. Qualifications Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13 you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in Federal service, or equivalent public or private sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: (1) Assessing risks arising from foreign investments in the United States. (2) Developing risk mitigation strategies.
