Role: Director of Business Development, North America
Location: NYC, Hybrid (2-3x/week)
Our client is an experiential marketing agency that strives to move beyond traditional approaches by crafting compelling ideas that forge genuine connections between brands and consumers through incredible experiential marketing activations with blue chip brands.
This Latin American-based company is expanding into the US and Canada and are seeking an exceptional Director of Business Development, North America to lead agency new business, staking new ground in their newly created US outpost. Dual reporting into the US General Manager and Managing Director for the global agency parent company, your primary responsibility will be to lead new business growth and establish long-term relationships with brands and experiential agency accounts in the US and Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company’s operations to meet budgetary and financial goals while maximizing productivity in line with corporate strategy.
- Develop new local and regional client relationships by promoting the company’s service portfolio.
- Analyze client situations and recommend strategies to achieve goals, ensuring efficiency and sustainability in service quality and costs.
- Manage local services for the key clients and coordinate related international operations, ensuring service levels are met.
- Responsible for upselling new services to existing clients.
- Direct the company’s commercial goals according to strategy and budget parameters.
- Assess team performance and identifies training needs for development.
- Complete additional tasks to support business unit objectives.
- Build commercial partnerships within the sector to expand the product offerings for clients.
Requirements
- 3-5 years+ of sustained experience with proven results specifically with experiential and digital OOH advertising brands and agencies – existing relationships with agencies and brands will be highly valued
- Have a deep understanding of the advertising and media ecosystem in the US
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, a strategic thinker with great ability to identify and generate opportunities to kick start success in the US market
- Strong technical capabilities, including MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM
Compensation: $130 - $150k base
