Join our client's team as a Senior DevOps and Configuration Engineer, contributing to the development and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions for our client's revolutionary medical devices. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the R&D department, ensuring seamless configuration management and integration of software towards defined
Block Release objectives. This challenging position involves providing architecture solutions, configuration, and software implementation for expanding and maintaining the existing DevOps infrastructure used by R&D.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration Management:
- Configure software for medical device host applications and engineering tools per SOPs.
- Prepare comprehensive configuration management documentation.
- Ensure storage and retrieval of off-the-shelf and SOUP (Software of Unknown Provenance) software for future reproducibility.
- Build Process:
- Oversee the build process of complex C/C++, C# software with installation on various platforms, including general principles of operating software.
- Perform configuration management in compliance with SOPs.
- Control the release of software to the field following department standards.
- Access Management:
- Manage accounts access for software development for engineers, contractors, and vendor partners (Jira, Bitbucket).
- Maintain and practice Agile with sprints within Jira.
- DevOps Infrastructure:
- Lead the design and development of embedded software and supporting production tools for both legacy and new-generation medical devices (C/C++ and C#).
- Automate software builds using JENKINS or equivalent tools.
- Handle testing, system software debugging, and troubleshooting using Visual Studio.
- Security and Operations:
- Manage architecture, configuration, and software implementation of the DevOps server.
- Manage active directory accounts and groups for DevOps security and operational needs.
- Direct IT consultants and our clients management efforts to meet advanced objectives, maintaining a secure DevOps environmen.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Coordinate with our client's internal Service & Repair to establish a client distribution portal via the DevOps server for software upgrades.
- Track and maintain software team assets.
- Provision key access for the medical device using existing tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or engineering (required) or Master’s degree in a related technical field (preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps and software development.
- Experience with medical device standards like IEC62304, and IEC60601.
- Experience managing source repositories.
- User support experience with toolsets (e.g., Atlassian) for issue tracking (e.g., Jira) and desktop repository management (e.g., Bitbucket).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (Red Hat), Windows 10 Operating System, and BIOS configuration.
- Proficiency in network topologies, server configurations, Amazon AWS, data backup tools, web servers, and databases in a DevOps environment.
- Experience with Cybersecurity and VPN set up.
- Advanced knowledge of C/C++, C#, and scripting using PowerShell and Batch file, SQL Database.
- Proficient with JENKINS, build and release management.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodology, Configuration Management Tools, and Processes.
- Knowledge of B-Mode Ultrasound is a plus.
- Experience integrating real-time systems and a Windows Host application.
