Sev1Tech is looking for the right candidate to play a role on a very large program involving network, cybersecurity, and cloud operations and engineering support services to a government customer with a significant mission for security and public safety. The contract will encompass a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: Program Management; Monitoring, Analysis and Incident Response; Tier 3 Engineering and O&M; Field Engineering technical support; and Cloud operations.
We’re seeking Tier 1 Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) Analysts to support a 24x7x365 network operations and security center.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Monitoring network dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting, coordinating, and reporting of all operational information concerning the enterprise network infrastructure
- Providing first-line investigation and diagnosis of all incidents, logging all details and prioritization codes for all incidents
- Conducting technical services and support at the Tier 1 level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
- Installing and supporting remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services
- Assigning unresolved incidents to higher Tier support or Internet service providers and product vendors to coordinate restoration of service and obtain the necessary information for recording/tracking the outage or degradation of service
- Keeping component NOCs and SOCs informed of their incident's status at agreed intervals and continuously update incidents as needed
- Notifying Government Leads and other stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent education
- At least two (2) years of relevant routing/switching experience in an enterprise network operations center environment
- Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
- Experience with Cisco command line interface and configuration
- Strong customer service and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Clearance Requirement: Public Trust clearance or higher; Public Trust clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection (CBP) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Secret Clearance preferred
- CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent
