Description
We are in search of a Network Security Administrator to join our team in the transport industry, based in Chandler, Arizona. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As a Network Security Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network security systems and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor the security of network systems and infrastructure.
- Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco ASA Firewall, and Cisco Routers to ensure secure network operations.
- Implement and manage Check Point and Checkpoint Firewall as part of the security measures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware and datacenter operations.
- Conduct configuration management to ensure system security and consistency.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious behavior and identify potential threats.
- Implement security improvements by assessing current situations and predicting future trends.
- Respond to network security breaches and provide incident response.
- Develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to identify, innovate, and implement new technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Experience with Checkpoint and Checkpoint Firewall
- Familiarity with Cisco ASA and Cisco ASA Firewall
- Knowledge of Cisco Routers
- Expertise in Computer Hardware
- Experience in Configuration Management
- Ability to work in a Datacenter environment
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions based on analysis
- Knowledge of current industry security standards and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
