Job Description
The focus for this position will be on supporting the identity access management (IAM) system. The IAM system is exceptionally critical, as it is the foundation for the University’s security architecture. This system maintains users’ identity information and controls user access to all University systems. This includes on-premise applications like the Human Resources system and the Financials system, as well as cloud-based services like Canvas and the Library. The IAM system is a very large and complex system with several components. Two of the most visible components are the LDAP directories and the Shibboleth identity providers. LDAP is a critical service that is used to control access to the University’s most important applications.
Salary commensurate with experience: $75,000 to $ 99,000/yr.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field, plus 2 yrs. experience in a systems administration occupation. Experience to include the following which may be gained concurrently: 2 yrs. middleware software applications, including installation, configuration, administration and deployment; 1 yr. with Linux operating system, LDAP technologies, IAM systems, network technologies, and load balancing. Demonstrated knowledge (coursework or experience) of Single Sign On and Multi Factor authentication.
