Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide exceptional technical support to all departments, troubleshooting PC hardware and software issues, and performing upgrades.
Manage service requests efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries.
Offer support for dealer-specific technologies like CDK, Vin solutions, Promax, wiTech/wiAdvisor, credit card systems, security cameras, cccOne, and basic phone/fax/copier/printer troubleshooting.
Security-specific technologies like Sophos antivirus, Duo 2FA security, and Comply Auto.
System Administration:
Proactively monitor and administer network infrastructure, pfSense, including HP and Cisco routers and switches, ensuring optimal network performance and security.
Manage Windows Server 2016, including Active Directory user accounts, group policies, and system administration tasks. Implement and enforce strong password policies and access controls.
Troubleshoot and maintain Windows desktops, perform preventative maintenance, and provide support for Android/iOS tablets and iPhones. Ensure endpoint security by implementing and enforcing security measures such as antivirus, anti-malware, and patch management.
Create and maintain IT documentation for future reference.
Problem-Solving & Training:
Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Perform preventative maintenance on PC desktops and create/manage system backups.
Resolve urgent IT requests daily and independently.
Conduct end-user training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR 5+ years of verifiable IT experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server administration. (Microsoft certifications a plus).
Proficiency in TCP/IP networking concepts and experience with Cisco and HP routers/switches.
Experience with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network security monitoring tools.
Solid experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Familiarity with virtual environments (Proxmox, and VMware) and Linux servers (a plus).
Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL) preferred.
Experience with programming languages like Powershell and shell scripting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear communication with users.
Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work independently.
Possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and principles.
Ability to conduct security audits and risk assessments.
