Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of developing and implementing robust security solutions to protect enterprise systems and data. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security architecture for various IT systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify, assess, and manage security threats and vulnerabilities across the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Lead and manage incident response activities, including detection, analysis, and remediation of security incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and coordinate with other teams during security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and industry standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to verify adherence to compliance requirements.
- Deploy, configure, and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends.
- Develop and deliver security training programs for employees to enhance security awareness.
- Act as a security advisor to various departments and provide guidance on security best practices.
- Lead and mentor junior cybersecurity staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and other teams to integrate security into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
TechnicalSkills Required:
- Deep knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.
- Experience with operating system hardening, endpoint protection, and secure configuration.
- Proficiency in using and managing SIEM, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Understanding of encryption algorithms, key management, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
- Expertise in detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and breaches.
- Ability to leverage threat intelligence feeds and frameworks to enhance security posture.
- Experience with ethical hacking and penetration testing tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools for platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Compliance Standards: Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant regulations and standards.
- Audit and Reporting: Experience in conducting security audits and preparing compliance reports.
- Soft Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in security architecture, threat management, incident response, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred.
