The Opportunity
The Member Acquisition Manager will be a key part of CyberEdBoard’s engagement & distribution team. This role will be responsible for membership recruitment, adding to our existing network of 1,500 of senior level information security & risk practitioners throughout the globe. Responsibilities also include development of a strong & diverse membership community, member satisfaction, & member retention.
What you'll be doing
- Recruiting new members by identifying & targeting qualified executives & contacting them via email, LinkedIn messaging, cold-calling, etc.
- Controlling all stages of the sales funnel from prospecting to discovery & value presentation, negotiations, navigating procurement processes, contract closing, & membership onboarding.
- Conducting a variety of outreach activities to attract, recruit, & retain new members to achieve designated membership growth targets.
- Identifying, developing, & promoting programs & initiatives to attract & retain members.
- Assisting in developing marketing campaign plans for target audiences, informed by analysis, for key initiatives.
- Initiating annual reviews with members to ensure CyberEdBoard provides customized value.
- Delivering high level customer service to elevate member experience & build meaningful relationships.
- Ensuring all membership applications are processed in a timely manner & with utmost confidentiality.
- Working with the full Membership, Marketing, & Communications team (MMC) to establish annual goals & metrics to evaluate membership community engagement.
What you'll bring for success
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in PR, Communication, Marketing, or other related areas.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in membership, community management/development, and/or business development/sales.
- Experience working with CISOs or other C-Level executives.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity industry & technology landscape.
- Previous experience within B2B events and/or content strategy is preferred.
- Experience in quantitative & qualitative research methods, including survey creation.
- Proficiency in Excel, Projects, PowerPoint, etc.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organization skills, & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while tackling tight deadlines.
- Self-starting & ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic start-up environment.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
