Job Summary
Client is actively seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Business Development to spearhead our efforts in driving net new revenue growth within the Energy & Utilities sector in the US. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of expertise in business development within the IT services industry, coupled with a profound understanding of the Energy & Utilities market. This strategic and results-driven professional will excel in identifying new business opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and forging lasting client relationships that contribute to significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities - Net New Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to drive new business acquisition within the Energy & Utilities vertical.
- Identify, pursue, and successfully close opportunities, ensuring the achievement of targeted revenue goals.
- Market Penetration:
- Expand Coforge’s footprint in the US Energy & Utilities market by identifying high-potential prospects.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and convert prospects into long-term, high-value clients.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior-level decision-makers within target organizations.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs and challenges, offering tailored IT solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to craft and implement go-to-market strategies specific to the Energy & Utilities sector.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform and refine business development efforts.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with delivery, pre-sales, and marketing teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
- Clearly articulate Coforge’s value proposition, ensuring alignment with client needs and positioning Coforge as the partner of choice.
- Reporting & Forecasting:
- Provide regular and accurate updates on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Maintain meticulous records in CRM systems, ensuring transparency and accountability in all business development initiatives.
Qualifications - Experience:
- Over 15 years of experience in business development or sales within the IT services industry, with a strong focus on the Energy & Utilities sector in the US.
- Proven track record of generating net new revenue and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the Energy & Utilities industry, including key market trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in engaging with C-level executives and senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and drive decisions at the highest levels.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business development plans.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage and interpret complex data to inform decision-making.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
